Winner of the 2002 Award for Outstanding Appearance from the Schenectady County Chamber of Commerce.
Synthesis renovated this turn-of-the-century office building into a 23-room hotel, conference center, and upscale bar and lounge. Although much of the original interior ornament had been removed, the building boasted several unique design features, including a nearly-intact cast iron and brick facade, an original wrought iron elevator cage, an original cast and wrought iron stairway, and a decorative plaster ceiling discovered during construction.
“When I walked into the Parker Inn, I was amazed at what I saw. This looks like a hotel that belongs in New York City...”
A Trip Advisor User, Vernon, CT
These design features were salvaged and restored or recreated where necessary. Interior spaces throughout the building were also redesigned with interior finishes, furnishings, and artwork selected by Synthesis.
