Services were provided to secure environmental permits and project approval
for Schermerhorn Hollow Village, a 35 - 40 million dollar project located
on approximately 41 acres in the Town of Rotterdam, New York. The site is
located in an area that contained a significant stream channel and extensive
state and federal regulated wetlands. The scope of work included the preparation
of Draft and Final Environmental Impact Statements, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation wetland and stream disturbance
permits, visual analysis and noise impact analysis.
Work also included preparation of large-scale wetland creation and enhancement
mitigation plans and stream channel re-alignment and construction plans that
received Federal and State approval.
The project was completed by Michael Hale, RLA, now Director of Environmental
Planning at Synthesis, while employed at his previous firm.
