Unutilized media (press) space re-envisioned into a new 5,200 square foot community room/conference space at the Times Union newspaper building. The vision is to create a welcoming meeting and activity space for both the Times Union staff and the community at large.

The space is being designed with security access, several break-out rooms to accommodate small meeting groups, a large open meeting space, and ‘smart’ capabilities with zoned sound and visual displays, as well as ample storage space.

A portion of the design scope includes code review and specifications for interior finishes, including carpet, ceiling tiles, wall finishes, built-in casework, and new handicap accessible restrooms.
